Grace Gardens is a non-profit dedicated to creating an inclusive and accessible gardening space in San Angelo, Texas, where people of all ages and abilities—especially children and adults with disabilities—can fully participate in gardening and reap its profound benefits.
Historically, meaningful activities for individuals with special needs have been limited in our community. Grace Gardens addresses this gap by providing a sheltered, adapted environment that removes barriers.
These accommodations enhance engagement and success, enabling every participant to contribute at their own level.
Beyond growing plants, the garden serves as a powerful space to learn and practice essential life skills like caring for living things, following instructions, problem-solving, and goal-setting.

Martha Register is a lifelong resident of San Angelo and has worked in the San Angelo Public schools as a teacher since 1998 and a Master’s level Speech-Language Pathologist since 2013. Martha has taught and served many children and young adults with communication disorders as well as those without. She currently works with Kids Care Home Health as a pediatric Speech-Language Pathologist and is a member of the Concho Valley Master Gardeners.
